Amos Pond Pickering

My father Joseph Amos came home from WWII in April of 1945 after 5.5 years service and married Frances Campkin May 9, 1945. He bought acerage with a small sand pit and eventually it led to an aggregate, loam, sand, and gravel business.
When the product was depleted it created a larger pond. Joe planted Willow Trees on the banks and the neighborhood has and still does enjoy swimming and sledding.
